How much does it cost to hire a celebrant?
Each ceremony is created from scratch, so the investment varies depending on the experience you wish to have, the location, and the level of personalization. After an initial contact, we will share a proposal aligned with your vision.

How far in advance should I book an officiant?
Ideally, you should book after setting the date and location of the event. This way, they guarantee availability and allow the necessary time to develop a ceremony that is meticulously planned.

What is included in the celebrant service?
The service is designed as a complete and personalized process, from the initial conversations to the celebration on the day.

Can I choose a specific celebrant?
Yes, you can request a specific celebrant, depending on availability.

Besides Portuguese, do you hold ceremonies in other languages?
Yes. We accompany couples of different nationalities and conduct ceremonies in English and other languages. When necessary, we provide professional translation, ensuring a fluid and inclusive experience for everyone present. Available languages: German, Catalan, Spanish, French, and English. Translators: Mandarin and Japanese.

How long does a ceremony conducted by an officiant last?
The duration varies depending on the type of ceremony and desired customization, but is typically between 20 and 45 minutes.

Is it possible to hold a symbolic ceremony before or after the civil wedding?
Yes, the symbolic ceremony can take place before or after the civil wedding, as you prefer. Many couples choose to separate the two events to give more prominence to the symbolic celebration.

Do you hold live-streamed ceremonies?
Yes, officiants conduct outdoor ceremonies on beaches, in gardens, vineyards, mountains, or any other location chosen by the couple.

Can the officiants include symbolic rituals in the ceremony?
Yes! Celebrants can include rituals such as:

What happens if the officiant is unable to attend the ceremony?
In case of unforeseen circumstances, Celebrantes - Bespoke Ceremonies guarantees the replacement of the officiant with another qualified professional, ensuring that the ceremony takes place as planned.

Can I include family members or friends in the ceremony?
Yes! You can involve family and friends in the ceremony, whether through readings, speeches, or participation in symbolic rituals.

Do the officiants offer help in drafting the vows?
Yes, the officiants can help with writing the vows, providing suggestions and guidance to make the words more meaningful and moving.

Can the officiant conduct a surprise ceremony?

Yes, in fact, all ceremonies are fully customizable, and can be secular, humanist, or spiritual, according to the couple's preferences.

What differentiates a celebrant from a priest and/or a pastor?
A celebrant performs symbolic and personalized ceremonies, without ties to religious institutions, while priests and pastors conduct ceremonies within their specific religious traditions.

Does the officiant provide a certificate or memento of the ceremony?
Yes, we provide a symbolic marriage certificate. This certificate is signed by the couple and, if they wish, by the best man/maid of honor/witnesses. A copy of the ceremony speech is also always given as a keepsake.

Can Celebrantes - Bespoke Ceremonies help with the overall organization of the ceremony?
Yes, officiants focus on conducting and structuring the ceremony (entrances, interventions, music). Hiring decorations, music, photography, and other services is not the responsibility of the officiant.

Yes! The officiants create personalized speeches based on the couple's story, making the moment even more special and unique.

Can I choose the music for the ceremony?
Yes, they can choose music for different moments, such as the entrance, exchange of vows, and exit. The officiant can also help determine the order and the best options.
